Mike Deck, Manager of Development
Mike Deck has been managing the development team at SearchDex™ since November of 2010. Since his arrival he has been focused on making steady, incremental improvements to our development process enabling us to respond more quickly and efficiently to changes in the needs of our customers and the marketplace as a whole. He has also been a key player in the architectural design and technical implementation of the new InferClick™ platform.
Before joining SearchDex™ Mike worked as a Senior Software Development Consultant for Improving Enterprises. During his tenure with Improving Mike worked with several major clients in the financial and travel sectors including Sabre/Travelocity, American Airlines, and JP Morgan Chase in both technical and business analysis roles. Mike specialized in helping teams transition from antiquated software development methodologies to modern agile/lean approaches.
During his last engagement with American Airlines Mike inherited the role of technical lead on two different projects that had been underway for over two years and had yet to deliver a single line of code to production. Only four months after Mike assumed leadership of each project the first phase was released to production and work on the second phase was underway.
From 2005 to 2008 Mike worked for Valtech Technologies. While at Valtech Mike was able to hone his technical abilities while working alongside industry leading developers on large-scale enterprise software projects for companies such as Hertz Rent-a-Car and JP Morgan. During his three year stint Mike was a member of several successful project teams responsible for delivering on-time and on-budget software to clients.
Mike graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a degree in Computer Science. He is an avid college football fan who has made many pilgrimages across the country to watch games at some of the greatest sports venues in the country including Clemson’s Death Valley, Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium, Oregon’s Autzen Stadium, Notre Dame Stadium, and of course Texas A&M’s Kyle Field.
